14 weeks!

I want to track my pregnancy from today to the end.  I have been terribly sick and tired up until this point, but I hope I can make up for lost time.  I found this cute idea from Little Baby Garvin, and I decided I needed to do it for myself and my lil love bug.

How far along? 14 Weeks 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: 11 pounds.... eekkkk.  I plan on eating healthy and slowing that down :)

Maternity clothes? A few things... I have purchased bigger sweaters and a belly band.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well, and I can always take a nap.
Best moment this week: Getting to hear baby.  His/her heartbeat was a strong 150!
Miss Anything? This week I wanted some feta cheese.
Movement: Not yet... I can't wait for that part!
Food cravings: I love fruits, sour candy and Baked Lays
Anything making you queasy or sick: A lot of things make me queasy, but the thought of meat is the worst.  I get sick pretty much every day, but it does seem to be getting better!
Have you started to show yet: A little more, but people who don't know that I am pregnant, still don't know.  I guess they just think I'm pudgy.
Gender prediction: I change every day.  Today a girl.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Finding out if we are having a boy or a girl in just a few weeks!  I cannot wait to call my child by name!

So, I'm the worst blogger ever, but I have been a little preoccupied.  Guy and I are having a baby!  We could not be more excited about our addition that should be here June 24th!

Life Was Good Today.

We had a great beach trip with my family this past week.  We stayed at a beautiful house on Inlet Beach.  The weather and company were perfection.  Here are some of the pictures I captured.  (It's pretty much the Cooper show, but she is just too darn cute. :)

DIY Frames.

My husband and I made these frames quite some time ago, but I just recently found what I wanted behind them.  They are super easy to make.  I unfortunately don't have many pics, but basically...

I purchased pre-made frames at Hobby Lobby.

Drove nails into the sides on the backside of the frame.

Ran wire from side to side.

Cut and then hot glued fabric (or rug, whatever you want to call it) onto the back.

 We are going to hang postcards from every trip we take.  Right now we only have Colorado... I bet you can't tell who picked out what postcards. ;)

A Place to Lay My Head.

I love my new pillows!  The blue pillows were made from napkins I found, and the gold one I bought at World Market.

Shutterboard.

I searched forever for cheap shutters and did not have success.  One day, while crawling under the creepy space under our house (the one I refuse to go in) my husband found three perfect wood shutters.  Makes me wonder what else is under there....  Anyways, I decided to turn them into a headboard in our guest room.  Here are the results:

 

I painted the shutters grey and distressed them.  My husband and I bracketed them together and hung the shutters with picture wire.

Seeing Blue.

I am really wanting to paint my closet doors in my guest bedroom blue, and I loved these doors I found on Frenchlique.  I'm leaning toward the color of the first one...

 

Rocky Mountain High.

We came.  We saw.  We conquered. The husband and I went on a little vaca to Colorado.  Here are some of our adventures...

Drove to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs.

Toured the Garden of the Gods.

  Fly fished in the Rocky Mountain streams.  Ok, so we didn't fish in this particular stream, but we don't have any pics of the ones we did fish.

  Hiked to Alberta Falls.

Drove through Rocky Mountain National Park.

Rafted down the Colorado River.

We had a blast!

Trashy Piece.

While out driving one Sunday afternoon, my husband and I came across this little gem.  I couldn't believe someone would throw it away!  I brought it home and gave her a little facelift.

Please excuse the bad photography, but here it is...  (this is not her normal location, but I had to move her for the picture.)

 

I got these knobs at Hobby Lobby.  I liked the personalized touch.

  She fits perfectly in her new home.

Office Space.

When I first moved in, our office was less than stellar, but we have made some lovely progress.  Here are the before and after pics! (Please don't judge me on the "befores")

 

Nice, huh?  Here is what we have now...

 

The rug and skull (in the corner) are real, and I love them. My husband went on an African safari two years ago.  Everything that was killed fed an African village.  Keep that in mind before I receive hate mail. ;)
